AMAP-B is a high-technology system specially adapted to protect against ballistic attacks – either as a separate solution or when incorporated into a synergistically modular overall AMAP concept. Of particular benefit is the high degree of effectiveness coupled with a low areal density.

This is achieved, for instance, by the lastest developments of ceramic composites and light metal alloys. The AMAP-B armor – adapted in thickness and weight to the vehicle in question – absorbs impact energy and minimizes the impact of the projectile. It meets the STANAG 4569 / AEP 55 multi-hit requirements and is certified for protection levels 1-5.
